TET holiday 2012, Lazy Beach Cambodia

Sometimes you have to travel a long way to find the best places. This is one of those places! With a 4 hour bus from Phnom Pehn then a 2.5 hour boat journey its not the easiest of places to get to, but thats all part of the experience. Considering we travelled from Saigon to PP on bus also, it would be fair to say we were very relieved to arrive at koh rang saloem island, off the south coast of Cambodia to the lazy beach resort.
As I have discussed in many other posts, staying active on holidays is a key part of having fun for me. I was not sure what 'lazy beach' had to offer but as usual we found enough to keep us busy and add a little exercise to each day... (to balance the eating and drinking). This included swimming, Jungle walking, Kayaking, Fishing, beach running and even some gym sessions. Given more time we may have taken on the 2.5 hour walk to the light house or done a scuba dive but we were only at LB for 3 nights and we simply ran out of time. So my advice is - book for at least 4 or 5 days at Lazy beach. We will next time.

The bungalows are located on a beautiful, clean and calm bay. Awesome place for swimming and Jetty diving!

All the kids; French, Norwegian and Australian celebrated Australia day!

The front beach was perfect...
and the back beach was paradise!

...and a fully equiped gym!

The walk thru from front beach to back beach was about a half hour.
